We hope that this event will provide a valuable platform for the exchange of knowledge and experience for everyone interested in the preservation and future of heritage in the face of the dynamic transformations of the 21st century. The conference will address the challenges of the climate crisis, including the impact of climate change on historic sites and cultural landscapes, threats posed by extreme weather events, the adaptation of historic properties to changing climatic conditions, and the sustainable management of cultural landscapes.

Another key topic will focus on heritage in situations of conflict and political instability, covering the protection of cultural property during wars and humanitarian crises, the documentation and digital archiving of endangered sites, post-conflict reconstruction and restoration, the ethics of reconstruction and the question of authenticity, as well as the role of heritage in shaping memory and identity.

The programme will also explore the social and ethical responsibility of heritage protection and resilience in conservation theory and practice. Discussions will include heritage in relation to social justice and inclusivity, education and the development of cultural awareness, preventive strategies and risk management, interdisciplinary approaches to heritage protection, and the use of artificial intelligence in monitoring and analysis.

The conference aims to create an interdisciplinary platform for the exchange of knowledge, identify new models of heritage protection in times of crisis, strengthen the integration of theory, research and design practice, and highlight innovative directions for the future development of heritage conservation.

We warmly invite all prospective speakers to submit their presentation proposals via the official conference website by 31 July 2026. The conference will be held in a hybrid format, with the possibility of participating either in person or online. Conference fees: speakers 450PLN (students, including doctoral students, are exempt from the conference fee); Attendees 180PLN.
